Expect delays on Immokalee Road starting Tuesday as construction begins on the Interstate 75 interchange. Temporary lane closures during the day and night on Immokalee Road from Strand to Tarpon Bay boulevards start at 7 a.m. Tuesday, reducing seven existing lanes to five lanes east and west bound.

Bonita Springs plans on having its second Riverfest and Imperial River Challenge Boat Races this year. Riverfest will take place Saturday, Oct. 25, on the first night of the 2008 Calusa Blueway Paddling Festival, which runs until Nov. 2.

The search is on for a coyote in Estero after reports of attacks on dogs continues to grow. On Sunday night, Yeadon Hyer, 71, was walking his Pekinese on Sunday evening in the Shadow Wood subdivision of The Brooks when an animal that looked like a coyote, approached and attacked his dog.
